Sprengbagger 1010 (which translates roughly as: Explodigger 1010 or Explosives Excavator 1010) is a 1929 German silent film directed by Carl Ludwig Achaz-Duisberg and starring Heinrich George, Viola Garden and Ivan Koval-Samborsky.

The film's sets were designed by the art director Andrej Andrejew.

Synopsis:

The story follows engineer Karl Hartmann, who designs a massive excavator for lignite coal mining. Upon discovering coal beneath his hometown, he decides to deploy his invention there. Despite objections from his fiancée and mother, who fear environmental degradation and loss of community, Hartmann proceeds. Tragically, a detonation causes a landslide that kills his fiancée, and his mother dies in a fire, symbolizing the personal costs of industrial progress. The film concludes with the transformation of the once-idyllic village into an industrial site, highlighting the personal and environmental costs of industrial progress.
