ℹ️Another one that isn’t as good as the first three. The deaths got way too over-the-top. It was clearly produced with the 3D version in mind. The acting was subpar. It has very similar flaws to the fourth film as far as quality. The ending has a nice twist to it.
Plot:
Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto), an office worker at Presage Paper, has a premonition of a catastrophic bridge collapse during a company retreat bus trip, killing him, his ex-girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell), and colleagues. Acting on his vision, Sam saves eight people, including Molly, by evacuating them before the disaster. However, the survivors begin dying in gruesome, seemingly accidental ways, as Death pursues them to reclaim their cheated fates. Coroner William Bludworth (Tony Todd) warns that they can only survive by “taking” another person’s lifespan through murder. As the group grapples with paranoia and moral dilemmas, Sam and Molly uncover a connection to the original Final Destination (revealed in a twist: the film is a prequel set in 2000).
Characters:
Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto): A Presage Paper salesman with culinary dreams.
Molly Harper (Emma Bell): Sam’s ex-girlfriend, kind and loyal. Survives the bridge and forms a romantic bond with Sam.
Peter Friedkin (Miles Fisher): Passive-aggressive co-worker driven to madness by grief, contemplating murder to cheat Death.
Candice Hooper (Ellen Wroe): Gymnast and Peter’s girlfriend, meets a gruesome end early.
Isaac Palmer (P.J. Byrne): Sleazy, rude co-worker who steals from desks and makes crude remarks.
Olivia Castle (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood): Confident, provocative co-worker who strips to prove a point.
Nathan Sears (Arlen Escarpeta): Co-worker who accidentally kills another, temporarily delaying his fate.
Dennis Lapman (David Koechner): Arrogant boss who misnames employees and ignores their concerns.
William Bludworth (Tony Todd): Enigmatic coroner who explains Death’s rules, a recurring franchise figure
