Fully electric seaglider

The Viceroy Seaglider from REGENT is a fully electric vehicle designed for over-water travel. It cruises just above the ocean’s surface using wing-in-ground effect for speed and efficiency. The battery-powered craft can reach 180 mph with a range of up to 180 miles per charge. It seats 12 passengers plus 2 crew and is designed for regional city-to-city coastal travel. The seaglider begins in boat mode, transitions to a hydrofoil, and finally flies just above the waves. Viceroy has a maximum takeoff weight of 15,000 lbs in cargo configuration, it can carry up to 3,500 lbs. REGENT expects commercial flights to begin as early as 2026.
