Dr. Paul Thomas exposes vaccine "informed consent" myth: over 100 hidden MMR risks

Dr. Paul Thomas, a dedicated pediatrician and advocate for medical transparency, delivered a powerful message exposing the flaws in vaccine “informed consent.”

He argues that the Vaccine Information Sheet (VIS) handed out by doctors is not true informed consent but a one-page piece of propaganda that glosses over serious risks.

Speaking at a recent event, Dr. Thomas revealed that these sheets fail to disclose critical information about vaccine safety and the extensive list of potential adverse effects.

Take the MMR vaccine, for example. Its official insert lists over 100 possible side effects, including severe neurological disorders like Guillain-Barré syndrome, transverse myelitis, Bell’s palsy, and encephalitis (brain swelling).

Other risks include cardiovascular issues like vasculitis, blood disorders such as thrombocytopenia, anaphylaxis, and devastating skin conditions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

“This is just one vaccine,” Dr. Thomas emphasized. “Now consider children receiving multiple shots—2, 3, or even 10 at once. If each side effect is ‘rare,’ what happens when you combine the risks?”

At a hearing with Senator Ron Johnson, Dr. Thomas challenged the narrative that vaccine injuries are “one in a million.” He cited evidence suggesting serious adverse events may occur in as many as 1 in 20 cases for most vaccines.

“They tell you each injury is rare, but with 100 potential side effects per vaccine, and multiple vaccines given together, the math doesn’t add up.

What’s the real risk to your child?” he asked. He also noted that vaccines were never adequately tested for long-term safety, a fact rarely shared with parents.

Dr. Thomas calls for true informed consent: full disclosure of all risks, not just a sanitized handout. He urges parents to read vaccine inserts themselves, available from the CDC or manufacturers, and to question the safety of a system that downplays harm.

“Your child’s health is worth fighting for,” he said, recommending resources like his book for those seeking data-driven answers. The time for blind trust is over—parents must demand transparency and make educated choices.
