Hudson’s Bay purchase by Canadian Tire could “triple in value,” retail expert says

Shoppers in Canada are celebrating that the country’s oldest brand will stay in Canada.

Late Thursday, Canadian Tire announced its plan to buy The Bay’s intellectual property after the latter filed for creditor protection in March.

It means products with the iconic stripes and coat of arms can be sold at Canadian Tire stores.
