New Initiative – 2025 Istanbul Talks. Will It Be Different From 2022?

A new initiative has been announced — peace talks in Istanbul in 2025. But how will this be different from 2022, when everything was already agreed upon, Russia started withdrawing troops as part of the deal, and Zelenskyy simply failed to fulfill his obligations?

Now it may turn out that either Zelenskyy will refuse to come to Istanbul, or the sides will fail to find common ground once again.

I think that the outcome will ultimately be decided on the battlefield. Ukraine is not ready for peace and doesn’t understand the full gravity of the situation. That means Ukraine will become smaller.
