Life In A Tiny Russian Village

On May 16th in the village of Krasny Mak in Crimea, we attended a spirited evening of song, poetry, and art celebrating Easter and May 9th Victory Day.

This is a regular event sponsored by Fr. Barnabas of St. Nicholas Church and Monastery.

Celebrations like this are being held all over Russia in spite of a war next door and the violence imposed on them by the USA, UK, the EU and NATO.

I have to point out once again, Russia is not characterized by chaos, dissent, anger, and political strife, but by peace, harmony, and a very strong sense of unity and patriotism.
