Protest Against the Assisted Dying Bill 16th May 2025: Part 2 - Christians and Humanists

I am very grateful to Steve Beegoo of Christian Concern and Kevin Yuill of Humanists Against Assisted Suicide UK for speaking to me.
As Kim Leadbetter's Assisted Dying Bill has progressed through the various stages required before it can become law, the nature of the bill has become increasingly frightening. The Committee stage, which finished recently, discarded the few safeguards against abuse the bill had and the recent impact assessment reports have only added to the impression that this bill is more about saving money and getting rid of inconvenient people than about alleviating the suffering of the terminally ill.
This protest against the Assisted Dying Bill was organised by Christian Concern and was supported by the Together campaign, Not Dead Yet and Humanists against Assisted Dying.
