He Tried To Flee But Got Tased

FELON ARRESTED AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE: On May 10, at around 3:30 p.m., Ocala Police Department officers responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of the Wendy's . An individual at the scene reportedly brandished a rifle. The suspect, fled the scene in a white sedan, prompting a vehicle pursuit dangerously at high speeds in the wrong lane, hitting another vehicle. He ultimately crashed through a wooden fence at an Apartments complex, causing extensive property damage. Suspect abandoned the vehicle after the crash and attempted to flee on foot while carrying a rifle. Officer Hernandez quickly followed and successfully apprehended Brown after deploying a taser.
The rifle was recovered from underneath a parked car, and additional evidence, including marijuana and paraphernalia, was discovered in the suspect's vehicle. Brown is a convicted felon.
Suspect was transported to the hospital for evaluation following injuries sustained during the crash and later booked into the Marion County Jail. He was arrested on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, tampering with evidence, and several other charges.
