Ephesians 4:25-3125Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26“In your anger do not sin”[d]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
Ephesians 4:32-5:132Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.1Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
YBH…Yes But How
Duty, guilt and fear made me obey.
You cannot beat badness out of people.
It is right where I left off…verse 32 - 5:2
1 Corinthians 15:9-10 -9For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
Grace will humble you.
We are here because we desperately need the grace of God.
Grace makes me holy.
The new law of relativity is = there is no law.
Grace makes me do the hard work.
