A dramatic collision unfolded Friday night as a Mexican Navy training ship struck the Brooklyn Bridge. The 277-passenger ship Cuauhtémoc hit the structure with its 147-foot mast, injuring dozens and launching a full-scale rescue response.
Eyewitnesses saw sailors fall into the East River and emergency teams swarm the area. Four are in critical condition, and over 30 are injured. Mayor Eric Adams visited the site, and the Mexican Navy confirmed training operations are suspended.
