SALSA TOUR IN NYC JUNE 7, 2025

The Salsa Walking Tour in Harlem is the first of our series in Spanish Harlem, it’s a walk on political, social, musical, religious syncretism, culture, and migrations waves that makeup the timeline of Salsa and its evolution in “El Barrio”. Starting with the indigenous and afro contributions of instruments, religious, healing, ritualistic rhythms, important Harlem Renaissance personalities, Big Band era along with the Boricua Latino melting pot, the defined what is known salsa that evolve in El Barrio or Spanish Harlem. We will visit this ever changing community, walk among some of the iconic locations sharing poetry, oral history and vital information.
