Col. Richard Black, a retired U.S. Army officer and former Virginia State Senator, says Russia has always been ready to make peace in Ukraine. He believes the war could have ended much earlier if the West had not interfered.

He says NATO played a big role behind the scenes, pushing the conflict instead of helping to stop it. According to Black, there were real chances for peace, but those chances were blocked on purpose.

He talks about how diplomacy was ignored and how some leaders seemed more interested in weakening Russia than saving lives.

Black's message is clear: if the West truly wanted peace, this war might already be over.
