CT is "de-criminalizing" Magic Mushrooms?

As I type, the House of Representatives is debating a bill that will decriminalize psilocybin, aka "magic mushrooms" in our state.

Oh, don't worry, the proponents of this measure tell us that it's still illegal ... those caught in possession will just pay a fine.

During the start of the debate, I proposed several amendments, including one to create a working group to study the medical use, and one to empower the Dept. of Emergency Services and Public Protection to develop blood tests for drivers who may be under the influence of THC or mushrooms. BOTH failed along party lines.
