Numbers 22

In this chapter, Balak, king of Moab, is scared of the Israelite people, as he should be. Sacrificing to baal wasn't enough, so he calls for Balaam, a man who hears from YHWH, but somewhere along the way, wires get crossed, and people don't start serving YHWH because of Balaam's actions.

So, we get the story of Balaam's donkey saving his life by not running him into an angel of the LORD, and he gets a reminder that he's only supposed to do and say what God says to do.

If we pray, and our prayers have power because of who we're praying to, we should remember to praise God so that others can praise Him as well.
