In April 2025, Russian soldiers successfully captured one of the key strongholds of the Ukrainian Army, which the AFU had turned into a multi-level underground fortress.

The Ukrainian army had created a powerful network of deep shelters in this area, designed for long-term defense.

Inside the stronghold there were personal belongings left by the Ukrainian soldiers, ammunition, as well as a large number of bodies.

Location is on the approaches to the settlement of Novoye.
