On the first night, Meera saw a woman in a red bridal saree standing at the edge of their bed. Eyes hollow. Mouth stitched shut.
Ravi said it was just a dream.
But every night, the woman came closer.
One night, Meera didn’t wake up.
She was found sitting upright in bed. Eyes open. Mouth sewn shut with black thread.
Ravi screamed—until he saw two women in red sarees standing at the foot of the bed.
The villagers later whispered again:
