US Secretary of State Marco Rubio questioned on foreign policy | BBC News

The United States' top diplomat Marco Rubio has been questioned by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

During the hearing, Rubio discussed the possibility of Syria falling into civil war, the difficulty reaching Iran over their nuclear programme, the threat from China, as well as the conflict in Ukraine.

One senator suggested to Rubio that Vladimir Putin is “playing Donald Trump like a fiddle.”
