Female Adams dry fly pattern

Using the recipe and photos in The Founding Flies by Mike Valla

Hook: #12-18 fine wire
Thread: black
Tail: two Golden Pheasant tippet barbs (or more commonly a mix of brown and grizzly hackle barbs)
Wings: grizzly hackle tips
Tag: yellow chenille
Body: gray (muskrat)
Hackle: brown and grizzly dry hackle (rooster)

Head cement recipe:
Goop
Xylene (epoxy thinnner)

Instructions:
Fill a quart jar half full with Xylene
Squeeze a tube of Goop into the Xylene
Shake until the Goop is dissolved; add Xylene to desired consistency

Apply with a pin or needle dipped in the liquid
