Gaza Is 'A Slaughterhouse' - Says British Surgeon Working Amid Israeli Bombardment

Hundreds have been killed in Gaza as the Israeli military carried out waves of "preliminary" strikes ahead of a bigger offensive aiming to "conquer" and then hold territory.

British surgeon Dr. Tom Potokar told Sky News, 'if Cambodia was the killing fields, then Gaza now is the slaughterhouse.'

His reference to Cambodia's killing fields refers to when more than a million people were murdered in mass executions and buried by the extreme communist guerrilla group, the Khmer Rouge, under Pol Pot, between 1975 and 1979.
