Charlie Chaplin’s 55th film was The Count, released on September 4, 1916. It was his fifth film for Mutual Films. The movie stars Charlie Chaplin, Eric Campbell, and Edna Purviance. The story is about Charlie and his boss finding an invite to a party from a real Count. Both pretend to be the Count to win the rich girl, played by Edna.
