Our guest this week on the West of Tulsa Show is drag racing legend Bob Muravez. But for seven years in the late 1960's and early 70's racing fans knew him as Floyd Lippencott Jr. He concealed his professional racing identity from his parents until they finally found out. He explains why he lied to them and how they reacted. Bob joins us in studio to talk about everything from chasing horsepower, to racing in the shadows by headlights, being the first to put a parachute on a dragster, appearing on Wide World of Sports and his connection to the Micky Thompson murders. Thank you for supporting West of Tulsa where the stories are king.
