They say the only things that are certain in life are death and taxes, but in the Final Destination movies, they add the word "gruesome" to that phrase. Since 2000, these movies have had fun with inventing newer and better mousetrap ways for people to die. In the latest Final Destination installment, "Final Destination: Bloodlines", they keep that bloody tradition alive. We're shown, for the first time in a Final Destination movie, the origin story of how death will not be cheated upon and if you try, your ticket gets punched. The origin story starts in the late 60s with the character of Iris who sees a premonition of everyone dying in a freak disaster in a newly constructed tower. However, she takes action and death is not happy with what she does and death will be satisfied one way or another. The movie fast forwards then to present day where Stefani, a college student, has a constant nightmare abouteveryone dying in that freak tower disaster. She ends up seeking out family to try to quell these gory nightmares she always has, and the carnage candy is made plentiful throughout the rest of the movie.
