Samurai Shodown (2019), also known as Samurai Spirits in Japan, is a weapon-based fighting game developed and published by SNK. It is the 12th mainline installment of the Samurai Shodown series and the first mainline game since 2008's Samurai Shodown Sen. The game is set in 1787 during the Tenmei Era of Japanese history, where a sinister cloud threatens to destroy Japan, and warriors from across the country and beyond converge to vanquish these evil forces.
