Psalms 24 & 25 - Why for His goodness sake? 2023

Psa 25:7
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Thy lovingkindness remember Thou me, For Thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
Psa 25:7: David prays for things for Elohim to remember and not to remember. He prays for the Father to remember his compassion and lovingkindness. He also prays for Elohim to not remember the sins of his youth or his transgressions. He prays this for Elohim's goodness sake. Why for His goodness sake? It is for the Father's goodness that He not remember our transgressions because that is the only way He can make good on His Covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Eph. 2:8-10).
