The Night I Almost Didn’t Make It
(Philippians 1:21)

This is Part 1 of my devotional testimony—and it begins with a night I nearly gave up on life entirely.

I open up about the suicide of my dear friend’s son on Resurrection Sunday and the staggering grief that followed. But I also share my own story—of how I came dangerously close to ending my life in college, and how God used one person’s obedience to stop me and lead me to salvation.

That moment changed everything. It was the beginning of my testimony and the reason Philippians 1:21—“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain”—became more than a verse. It became my lifeline.

This devotional is about finding hope in the darkest place. It’s about what happens when Jesus meets you at the edge and speaks life where death once stood.
