Making a Sand Dollar Snowman Art Picture | Christmas Countdown of Crafts Nature Edition Day 9

In today’s video, I’m showing you how I made this adorable beach-themed snowman picture as part of my Annual Christmas Countdown series. This year’s theme is all about using natural materials to create easy, affordable holiday decorations—perfect for beginners and DIY lovers!

This particular project was inspired by a trip to Clearwater Beach, Florida, where I came across a vendor selling gorgeous hand-painted and decoupage sand dollar ornaments. While I created my own version, her work definitely sparked the idea—I’ll include her info below so you can check out her beautiful collection!

🛠️ What You’ll Need:
• Sand dollars (link below)
• Scrap wood (mine is 11”x11”, already painted white)
• Paint (sand yellow, sea blue, white, light blue)
• Craft sand
• Wood glue
• Clay for the snowman’s hat and scarf
• Acrylic paint pens
• Optional: shells, sea glass, floral sticks (for driftwood arms), Cricut or stencils for lettering

I walk you step-by-step through the process—from painting the beach and ocean, to assembling the sand dollar snowman, to adding textured details like glitter, sea glass, and a clay hat & scarf. I even created a DIY frame using scrap wood to finish it off!

💡 It’s fun, customizable, and budget-friendly—perfect for gifting or selling at craft fairs!
