I Need A Caregiver - An Original Song I Wrote For My 91 Year Old Father Recorded on 5-10-25

I Need A Caregiver To Take Good Care Of Me is an original acoustic song I wrote about my 91 year old father before he passed away in 2018.

The song is a story about an elderly man who lost his wife years ago. Every day, he visits her grave, remembering the life they built together. One day, he meets a kind woman who reminds him of the love he once had. He sees his son on Sundays and watches his grandchildren play, all while reflecting on the gifts life gives us—before gently taking them back.

Accompanied by a gentle melodic fingerstyle arrangement on acoustic guitar, this original piece is for anyone who’s loved deeply, lost someone, or finds beauty in the quiet reflections of life’s final chapters.

I recorded the short of the song in my backyard, but as always, the sounds of the neighborhood managed to drift into the recording, so I recorded a green screen version so I could combine it with pictures to give more depth and contrast to the song.
