Disney Delays the Avengers to Give Marvel Enough Time to Fix the MCU

Disney and several other studios just announced massive release changes for 2026 and 2027, but the biggest news came from Marvel and Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars have been the most affected. Moving Doomsday from May 1, 2026 to December 18, 2026 and Secret Wars from May 7, 2027 to December 17, 2027.

This is the correct move. Considering there isn't a completed script for the films and not everyone has signed onto the project yet, Marvel needs to get this right if they have any hope of course correction and not simply cashing in their last chips.

Andor Showrunner Tony Gilroy has a tip for the Russo Brothers if they are still writing the scripts and given the quality of his work, hopefully they will listen...
