A Second Meditation in Modern Gnosticism

With the process of attaining to Gnosis, one awakens inner drives that are inspired by one's intimate Spirit; that inner self or augoeides that contains one's purest expressions and ambitions. It is this that is being spoken of in the Gospel of Thomas, when the Gnostic Jesus teaches: “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
