On, or about, May 22, 2025, Mr. Lefebvre purchased a beverage from the Burger King establishment at the Denman Mall and proceeded to consume his drink while reading the details of a promotional offer featured on the back of the receipt.

A member of the Jehovah’s Witness church instructed Mr. Lefebvre to move away from their temporary literature display and when Mr. Lefebvre refused to comply with her instructions the church member appeared to telephone the police.

After being on her phone for several minutes and having what appeared to be an actual conversation with the police (as opposed to pretending to have a conversation), the church member removed the temporary literature display.

Mr. Lefebvre remained where he was and continued to enjoy his diet Coke and reading material.
