Multiple restarts and six hours of trying got me nowhere, so I decided it wasn't for me. I received the advice to simple pick my class traits and stick to them right from the start, so the exact opposite of what I learned to do in Oblivion. No experimentation, no deviation, just pick your stats from the start and stick to it. OK. Let's give it another go.
