Two Ships of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) visited Singapore and conducted Joint Exercises with the Singapore Navy

Two Naval Vessels of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) of China, the Type 054A class Frigate "Xuchang (536)" and the Type 082II Minesweeper Hunter "Chishui (729)" visited Singapore recently to conduct various Activities with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

First, the Crew of the Vessel attended the International Maritime Defense Exhibition (IMDEX) Asia. The two Ships held an "Open Ship" Day and conducted Deck Reception Activities while docked at the Changi Naval Base (CNB). Over a thousand People attended these two Events including Overseas Chinese, Students, Foreigners, etc.

The two Ships then conducted the "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation 2025" Joint Maritime Exercise with two RSN Vessels, the Formidable class Frigate "RSS Steadfast (70)" and the Bedok class Mine Countermeasure Vessel "RSS Bedok (M105)".

The Activities made during the Exercise included Passing thru a Mine Threat Zone, Maritime Tracking and Surveillance, Gunnery Firing, Medical Evacuation, Replenishment at Sea (RAS), Search and Rescue (SAR) and Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS).

The two Sides also conducted Cultural Exchanges such as Sports Competitions, Artistic Performances and Ship/Museum Visits.
