The topic of tongues has become a topic of discussion, with various opinions and interpretations. One of the first mentions of tongues in the Bible is that of the prophet Isaiah, who spoke with stammering lips and another tongue. Jesus foretold tongues as one of the five signs that should follow those who would believe and obey the Gospel.

When God first set up His Church and men were privileged to receive the Holy Ghost, He first manifested Himself to men through speaking through them in Tongues (other languages). A multitude of devout Jews from 17 nations gathered and were amazed by the miracles. Peter, with the eleven apostles, stated that these manifestations were a sign or witness that the Holy Ghost had come.
