Welcome to album review Tuesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going deep beneath the earth into California for a look at an album ive been waiting over 7 years to get. Yes folks tonights review is of Leviathan-Scar Sighted which was released in 2015 on Profound Lore Records initially while other labels picked up the first edition of the vinyl hardbox sets picked up by Devout Records. The edition I have is the ONLY repress and it just came out this year of 2022 on Profound Lore Records and I was lucky enough to get a copy from a good friend of mine thank you very much bro.

The man behind the band is known as Wrest AKA Jef Whitehead who hails from Oakland California but use to reside in San Francisco until he relocated to Oakland. Jef has also been featured in the 2011 Documentary “One Man Metal” which can be found online. He also created Lurker Of Chalice back in 2001 and has elaborated that it was a muse project that was influenced by his longtime girlfriends battle with brain cancer and her eventual suicide. With an abundance of horrible experiences of this nature its not hard to see why Wrest is the kind of man he is and why he makes this kind of music now is it?
Wrest is the sole member of Leviathan and plays all instruments and does the vocals.
