Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways - Wuthering Waves (19 May - 25 May)
The Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways is a weekly combat game mode in Wuthering Waves, running from May 19 to May 26, 2025, resetting every Monday. Below is a detailed overview based on available information:
Overview
Type: Permanent Weekly Challenge
Location: Accessible via the red gateway in Ragunna City, Rinascita, or through the Recurring Challenges menu.
Gameplay: Players navigate 13 Memory Zones, similar to the Depths of Illusive Realm, fighting enemies to earn Illusive Points and rewards. Zones 6 and 12 are Memory of Rest rooms for exchanging Dream Fragments for Metaphors, while Zones 7 and 13 feature boss encounters where Waveplates can be spent for extra rewards.
Waveplate Cost: 60 Waveplates per reward claim (120 Waveplates for double rewards).
Objective: Accumulate 6,000 Illusive Points weekly to unlock all rewards, including up to 160 Astrite (enough for one Convene pull), Sealed Tubes, Tuners, and Supply Chests with Echoes.
How to Unlock
Reach Union Level 30.
Complete the prologue of Chapter II, Through the Sea Thou Break, to access Ragunna City.
Complete the side quest Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways (available since February 17, 2025), which involves teleporting to Ragunna’s Resonance Nexus, finding Encore’s Cosmos near a chair, and speaking to them to proceed to Thessaleo Fells.
Gameplay Mechanics
Team Composition: Form a team of up to three Resonators. Each week, specific Dreamscape Aid Resonators (e.g., Phoebe, Jinhsi, Shorekeeper, Verina) provide a 150% Illusive Point bonus when included, marked by a “Points x150%” tag.
Lucid Dream: A powerful ability in the top-left corner, charged by dealing damage. When activated, it grants buffs for 10 seconds, varying by weekly Dreamscape Aids and Metaphors. Save it for boss zones (7 and 13) for maximum impact.
Metaphors: Earned in Memory of Rest rooms (Zones 6 and 12) by spending Dream Fragments. Choose Metaphors that enhance your team’s damage or survivability based on your Resonators’ elements and playstyle.
Difficulty Levels: Higher difficulties increase enemy strength but yield more Illusive Points, making it easier to hit the 6,000-point goal.
Tips
Prioritize Dreamscape Aid Resonators for the point bonus.
Save Lucid Dream for bosses to maximize damage.
Select Metaphors that synergize with your team (e.g., elemental damage boosts for your main DPS).
Use Waveplates strategically on boss zones for better rewards if you’re confident in your team.
If you need specific team builds, Metaphor recommendations, or strategies for this week’s setup, let me know your available Resonators or playstyle preferences!
