Why Is Russia Catching Up with the World in the Number of Disasters?
A very alarming trend has surely already been noticed by those who regularly watch our weekly climate disaster reports: almost every episode now includes segments about natural anomalies occurring in Russia. This isn't because we previously ignored the region — rather, there truly were far fewer natural disasters there. But for reasons unknown to most people, everything has changed. Russia is rapidly catching up with the rest of the world in the number and intensity of climate events. While climate disasters have been escalating globally for over a decade, a clear increase in such events across Russia has only been observed in recent years.
Although some mystical explanations are circulating in the media space, the answer lies in a purely technical domain. The engineering solution aimed at mitigating disasters was an experimental piece of equipment developed by the interdisciplinary scientific group “ALLATRA.” From 2013 to 2023, this device exerted a stabilizing effect — primarily in Russia and Eastern Europe. By influencing processes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere, it helped suppress the intensification of winds, storms, and abnormal precipitation.
As a result, the number of extreme weather events in Russia increased significantly more slowly, even though temperatures in Siberia were rising 2.5 to 3 times faster than the global average due to the activity of the Siberian magmatic plume.
This equipment was installed in Russia not for political reasons or personal preference, but because of the high geodynamic threat posed by the plume — a force capable of destroying all life on the planet if it were to break through the Earth's crust.
However, in August 2023, the device's operation was forcibly halted. Almost immediately afterward, a sharp increase in the number and severity of climate disasters was recorded in Russia and several Eastern European countries — a trend that continues to escalate.
Dr. Egon Cholakian, a member of the ALLATRA scientific team, publicly addressed key questions: why the equipment was shut down, what physical principles it was based on, and who made its development possible. He also explained what is currently happening with the planet's climate and what solutions already exist that could slow the progression of natural disasters.
We urge you to watch Dr. Cholakian’s address carefully and to study the information presented. Our collective future, without exaggeration, depends on it.
