Episode 180 - The Malcolm X Assassination (Part X)

The Raymond Wood story in 2021. One year after the state of New York exonerated two of the men arrested for the assassination of Malcolm X, a former NYPD/BOSSI (FBI) officer admitted that he had been assigned the task of stripping two of Malcolm X's most trusted and loyal bodyguards from the security detail on February 21, 1965 (the third of Malcolm X's three-man security detail was Gene Roberts, a BOSSI agent). Wood accomplished this by setting up the two bodyguards on a bogus charge of trying to blow up the Statue of Liberty.

We also learn in this episode that according to FBI documents and the testimony of FBI agent Arthur Fulton, there were 9 FBI informants in the crowd in addition to Wood and Roberts. And according to eyewitness Mustafa Hassan, there were so many NYPD plainclothes officers in the Audubon that day that uniformed officers were having trouble identifying them.

In other words, there was evidence of an FBI plot beforehand to compromise Malcolm X's security and infiltrate the event with at least 11 of their own in addition to the scores of NYPD plainclothes infiltrators. The place was literally crawling with NYPD/BOSSI/FBI personnel as Malcolm X was led like a lamb to the slaughter. Afterwards, none of these NYPD/BOSSI/FBI personnel were revealed to the investigators and/or the district attorney's office. The arrests of the two innocent men later were, according to Raymond Wood, "cover" to hide the fact that he and Roberts were there. This is our FBI.
