In a powerful gesture of support, Channel One correspondent Dmitry Kulko presented a car—raffled off on the iconic “Pole Chudes” (“Field of Miracles”) show—to servicemen of the Veterans volunteer corps. These soldiers took part in the high-profile Operation Potok in the Kursk region.

“On ‘Field of Miracles,’ they say ‘a gift to the studio’—in this case, it’s a gift to the front,” Kulko remarked during the handover.

“I never imagined Channel One would entrust me with saying that, but here we are—you get a car.”

The decision to transfer the vehicle to the special military operation zone was first announced in April by longtime host Leonid Yakubovich during a special broadcast commemorating the channel’s 30th anniversary.
