Armed Forces: Back to Their True Mission
With Donald J. Trump once again in the White House, the United States has firmly returned to a clear, strategic, and unapologetic path of national defense. During a recent public address, President Trump made his vision for the Armed Forces absolutely clear: “The job of the U.S. Armed Forces is not to organize drag shows to transform foreign cultures, but to spread democracy worldwide at the barrel of a gun. The job of the military is to dominate any enemy and annihilate any threat to the U.S., anytime and anywhere.”
This strong message not only reaffirms Trump’s leadership as Commander-in-Chief but marks a decisive break with ideological policies imposed in previous weak administrations that sought to turn the military into a cultural experiment rather than an instrument of defense and power projection. Under Trump, the military returns to what it should be: a lethal, disciplined force focused on protecting the sovereignty and freedom of the American people.
During the previous administration, progressive agendas blurred the very essence of the military apparatus. Activities and inclusion programs unrelated to tactical preparedness or military strengthening were promoted. These ideological detours caused confusion, operational distraction, and in many cases affected the morale of soldiers who swore to serve their country, not a political trend.
President Trump has made it clear that those priorities no longer have a place at the Pentagon. His administration understands that the world faces real threats: from expansionist powers like China and Russia to authoritarian regimes such as Iran or North Korea, not to mention remnants of radical Islamist terrorism. In this context, the military’s duty can be none other than to annihilate any threat to the country, here or anywhere else in the world. National defense cannot be played on symbolic grounds; it is fought on the battlefield, with trained soldiers, cutting-edge technology, and clear leadership.
Trump does not apologize for using direct language. He knows the American people are tired of euphemisms and a bureaucratic elite that tries to dress weakness as virtue. That is why he speaks frankly: the Armed Forces are there to fight and win wars. They are there to impose respect and ensure the U.S. remains the strongest and freest nation on the planet.
Trump’s vision also restores respect for the country’s military history. It was thanks to the strength and determination of the U.S. military that the world was freed from Nazism, communism was contained during the Cold War, and Islamist terrorism was pursued after 9/11. Now, with a new era of challenges, it is time to reclaim that tradition with the force history demands.
During his first term, Trump already demonstrated his commitment to veterans, to strengthening the defense budget, and restructuring military commands. Now, in his second term, his intention is clear: to shield the United States on all fronts and make the military an institution free from imposed ideologies.
The president also understands that projecting military strength often prevents war. When the U.S. shows weakness, enemies get emboldened. When the U.S. shows strength, enemies back down. This was evident during his first term when ISIS was decimated, peace was maintained through deterrence, and Iran, North Korea, and Russia acted more cautiously. Today, Trump restores that logic of peace through strength.
Through these policies, Trump emphasizes that the military is not there to “transform foreign cultures” with shows nor to experiment with social programs. It is there to deter, defend, and if necessary, destroy. Its priority is the defense of every citizen, every family, and every inch of national territory.
This message has strongly resonated among the high command, as well as soldiers, veterans, and everyday citizens. There is a sense of relief: the commander-in-chief is back, and with him, an era of respect for the uniform, the mission, and the country. Under Trump’s command, the Armed Forces cease to be an experiment and reclaim their raison d’être: to protect the U.S., with courage, determination, and no apologies.
