The Family Law Credo, signed on Shared Parenting Day, lays out a clear and compassionate vision for reform:

✔️ Use respectful, inclusive language like “co-parent” — not “noncustodial”
✔️ Ensure equal access to courts, especially for those without legal counsel
✔️ Provide transparency in hearings and accountability for decisions
✔️ Enforce consequences for false allegations and systemic abuses
✔️ Recognize trauma under the Americans with Disabilities Act when it impairs a parent’s ability to function

This is a call to action — for dignity, fairness, and healing in family law. It’s time to rebuild a system that centers the well-being of children, supports equal parenting, and respects every family’s right to be heard.
