"Kill the boer" and "kill the farmer" is just a liberation chant and slogan

"For us, when it comes to the issue of arresting someone over a slogan, that is a sovereign matter. It’s not an issue where we need to be instructed by someone saying: go and arrest that person. We are a sovereign and very proud country, with our own laws, with our own processes, and we take into account what the Constitutional Court has also decided.

When it said that, you know, the slogan "kill the Boer, kill the farmer" is a chant of liberation and a slogan, and it is not intended to be a message that incites or calls on anyone to go and kill another. And that is what our court decided.

So they may be quick to arrest people. We follow the dictates of our Constitution. Because we are a constitutional state, and we are a country where freedom of expression is at the core of our constitutional order."
