British air taxi completes first European flight in open airspace

Vertical Aerospace, a UK-based electric aviation company, has completed the first piloted wingborne flight of a winged electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in European open airspace. The milestone flight, conducted at Cotswold Airport in the west of England, marks a step toward commercializing electric air travel, says Vertical Aerospace CEO, Stuart Simpson.
