Numbers 31

In this chapter, the last thing Moses would do to lead the people was follow God's command to take vengeance on the Midianites who had enticed the people of Israel into the debauchery of Peor.

The Israelites went out, God fought with them, and they lost no troops at all. They brought back hundreds of thousands of animals, 32000 women who hadn't participated in the enticement, and as much as they could carry of precious metals.

The plunder was split up between the warriors and the people of Israel, and God took a portion for a sacrifice and for the Levites.

After they got back, they realized they hadn't lost a single troop and gave an additional gift to God out of gratitude for how well the war went.

How can we give back to God, today, out of gratitude for all the blessings we've received?
