You'll be able to ask Grok for help straight from the search bar, enhance your messages, summarise chats, links and documents, get help with moderation, automate inbox responses, run fact checking and create stickers and avatars. We've seen a few LLMs integrated into messaging services already this year, but this seems to be the most comprehensive integration of AI that we've seen to date.

The service is set to go live this summer. A new version of Deepseek R1 R1-0528 was released and many users are reporting that it's been very impressive with their initial tests. However, Flavio Adamo, the X user famous for creating the ball in a hexagon test, put the new model through its paces and the results were, interesting.

It seems that Deepseek didn't quite manage to have a Deepseek moment. It seems like agentic web browsers are going to be a big theme of 2025. Perplexity have been teasing their Comet browser for a while and seem to be in the final beta testing stages. Now Opera have announced its own agentic web browser called Neon.
[01:16.4]
Neon has three key layers to it. 'Chat' integrates a typical chat style prompting layer straight into the browser. 'Do' is the agentic layer that takes actions in the browser on behalf of the user and 'Make' is the generation layer that can create images, videos and code.

Opera is pitching this as an experimental, evolving and completely new experience and it's open to invites now. Let's see what they can deliver. And finally, Perplexity have scored another major marketing win releasing an advert for their AI services starring F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton.

The ad emphasises the importance of speed when it comes to learning and getting answers. And that's how Perplexity wants you to think of their AI it will get you answers fast.
