Every now and then, we need to quiet the noise, turn off the world, and open the Word.

This week’s episode of Happy Hour Bible Study is a little different. No guests. No back-and-forth. Just me—and one of the most anchoring, clear-eyed passages in all of Scripture: Ecclesiastes 12:13–14.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

In a world driven by personal brands, feelings-as-truth, and endless distractions, these words are more than ancient wisdom—they are a timely, divine reminder. A call back to what matters most.

I’ve shared this solo study before, but I felt strongly that it needed to be brought back. Not because it’s clever or polished, but because it’s true. And sometimes, that’s all we need. A simple return to the foundation. To the kind of truth that stills our striving and re-centers our hearts.

In this episode, I invite you to pause with me—really pause—and reflect. Not just on what you’re doing, but who you’re becoming. Not just what you believe, but how that belief is shaping your obedience.

Are you walking with God—or just walking with the crowd?

It’s a short episode, but a rich one. And it might be exactly the realignment you didn’t know you needed.

So grab your Bible, find a quiet space, and let’s sit with the Word together.
