SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Gen 39:10-15

10 She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible.
11 One day, however, no one else was around when he went in to do his work.
12 She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, “Come on, sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house.
13 When she saw that she was holding his cloak and he had fled,
14 she called out to her servants. Soon all the men came running. “Look!” she said. “My husband has brought this Hebrew slave here to make fools of us! He came into my room to rape me, but I screamed.
15 When he heard me scream, he ran outside and got away, but he left his cloak behind with me.”

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 39:10-15 - Joseph Fled

The pressure to sin is always very strong. Here we see Joseph put 1 Cor. 6:18 into practice: “Flee immorality! He left his garment in her hand and fled, he had better lost his garment than a good conscience. The example of Joseph can be taken to heart by all young people. It starts with an inner conviction: ‘Even if the whole world sins, I at least do not.’ The real power to say ‘no’ to sin lies in having a living relationship with the Lord Jesus and obedience to God’s Word. All the time, merely trying to avoid temptation is just not enough. We must turn and run from them, especially when the temptations seem very strong, as is often the case in sexual temptations. May your spiritual senses be at alert so you can march from glory to glory, rather than repentance from dead works again and again in Jesus' name!

Personal Supplication
Father, by the Blood Jesus, i denounce and reject every overture from the power of darkness and maintain my purity in Jesus' name! 1 Cor 6:18

18 Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
