Tropical Storm Alvin has officially formed, strengthening to maximum sustained winds of 40 mph! 🌪️ Located several hundred miles south of southwestern Mexico, Alvin is moving northwest at 10 mph with tropical storm force winds extending up to 45 miles from its center. This newly-formed storm is expected to intensify further today, fueled by warm sea surface temperatures and low wind shear, peaking at 60 mph before weakening as it approaches cooler waters and higher wind shear. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasts Alvin to become a remnant low before reaching the Baja California Peninsula. Stay on top of this developing situation with W.O.F.
