Sarabande

This sarabande is written by Johann Sebastian Bach, a prominent Baroque composer. The sarabande is a dance piece, usually played surrounded by allemandes, courantes, gigues, and the like. Bach was known for his suites, which often contained all of the above, plus a gavotte or a bourrée, which were both a bit out of place for the normal suites at the time. As a result, those types of pieces gained popularity, ushering in more nuance and color, brightening the usual formal suite. Enjoy!
