Prelude in E minor (Op. 11, No. 4)

Alexander Scriabin, the composer of this piece, was a Russian pianist during the late 1800's and early 1900's. He had a particular love for added tone chords, along with dominant chords, which, when paired, create a dissonant sound. This is evidenced throughout this short Lento Prelude. Scriabin composed almost exclusively piano and orchestral pieces, with very little focus on much else. This was uncommon in the 20th century classical era, as most other pianists at that time also created music for other instruments. Enjoy!
